Stephen Antwi-Asimeng is a private independent financial advisor providing banking, investment, corporate finance and private equity advisory services to large corporate and SME firms.

He has over twenty-eight (28) years' experience in the banking, financial services, and SME business community, including over eighteen (18) years in senior executive management positions. Stephen's wide range of experience includes working with Ecobank as a senior corporate finance officer; Fidelity Discount House (now Fidelity Bank) managing the institution's fixed incomes and corporate finance advisory portfolio; Fidelity Capital Partners Limited where he led the Venture Capital and Private Equity business for over ten (10) years; Universal Merchant Bank as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and UT Bank as COO and subsequently as CEO.

Mr Antwi-Asimeng is currently an independent consultant providing financial and transaction services including PE advisory services, insolvency, restructuring and corporate governance. He has extensive domain experience across several sectors including banking, financial services, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, education, manufacturing, and agribusiness. He is a valued member and chair of local and international boards of directors, offering strategic leadership and corporate governance support. He served on the board of the Africa Venture Capital & Private Equity Association for six (6) years from 2002 to 2004 and was selected by the Economic Commission of Africa (ECA) as a member of an ad hoc team of experts on private equity and venture capital as an asset class in SME finance in Africa in 2013 and 2015.

Stephen has a Master of Arts degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Wales, United Kingdom and Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Ghana , Ghana. He has received executive education in several reputable institutions including Insead, Euromoney and Harvard Business School, Six Sigma, International Marketing and Supply Chain Management.
