Festus is currently the Acting Coordinator for the World Bank/Ecowas Center for Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency. Prior to that, he was a Portfolio Manager at Acumen Fund Incorporated where he was responsible for the full lifecycle of sourcing, due diligence, deal structuring, portfolio management and exit for the West Africa Region (Ghana Nigeria and Serra Leone) in the Energy and Agriculture Sectors. He has over 10 years’ experience dealing with the SME sector specifically in Agribusiness and Energy. He has worked with entities such as HFC Bank, GroFin Africa Fund. Before joining Acumen, he was an Investment Officer with Investisseur & Partenaires (I&P) the Fund Manager for I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs Fund covering activities in Ghana and Cote D’ivoire.

He started his career with Amex International Incorporated, a project contractor for USAID. Amex focus on developing the Non Traditional Export market for various players in the Agriculture, Handicraft, Forestry and Textile sectors. He subsequently worked with HFC Bank Limited as a Corporate Credit Analyst. He moved on to GroFin Capital a Fund Manager for GroFin Africa Fund as an Business Development Manager and later an Investment Manager.

Festus is a graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics. He also has an Executive Masters in Business Administration (Finance Option) from University of Ghana. He has a working knowledge in French.
