Independent Advisor

Barbara is a finance/economics professional with extensive experience in project analysis and evaluation, including feasibility studies and business plans, management and operations reviews, due diligence reviews, business valuation/appraisal and financial analysis. She also has strong project management, research, analytical and report writing skills. Having worked with various organizations in the banking/financial services and management consulting industries, she has over the years acquired a rich and extensive experience and knowledge in general consulting, project management, development finance and impact investment.

She is currently engaged as the Country Manager of AgDevCo Ghana, an agriculture investment company, and responsible for managing and overseeing the Ghana operations. Prior to this, she was the Country Liaison for Root Capital, US-based specialist agricultural lender, with responsibility for growing and managing the loan portfolio in Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone. She has also worked with US African Development Foundation, a US Government Agency, Deloitte & Touche, a major global consulting firm, and National Investment Bank, a development bank in Ghana.

Barbara holds a B.A. (Economics with Political Science) and an M.A. (Economic Policy Management) all from the University of Ghana Legon. She is also chartered accountant with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK - Associate (August 2004).
