Baba is an enterprise development, finance and a business processes specialist with over twenty five years of experience in Investment Banking, SME development, value chain financing, inventory credit models, agribusiness management and privatizations
He has designed and implemented successful value chain financing models (micro financing systems) that have generated significant efficiencies and provided access to finance in the Cocoa, Maize, Shea value chains among others, driving income increases for thousands of farmers. His financing models are now being applied successfully at considerably higher scale in Technoserve’s value chain work and agribusiness development. He has a long history of developing social enterprise business models and has supported various agribusiness development initiatives over two decades of work with international development organizations
Over the years, Baba was been involved in a number of consulting assignments in both the public and the private sectors. He was team leader for restructuring state institutions as well as developing financial recovery plans for a number of para-statal organizations. He also managed the privatization and sale process of State-Owned Enterprises in Ghana and led the effort in establishing and obtaining ACL/AOC for two companies in the aviation industry (Antrack Air and Johnson Air)
